A milestone is a rehearsal that also counts
The module numbering makes the design hard to see at first, but the logic underneath it is simple and rather kind: you are asked to build the final submission in stages, and at each stage somebody tells you what is wrong with it while weeks remain in which to do something. Almost nobody uses that second part.
Here it is the point of the exercise. Each milestone is drafted early and submitted early, precisely so the comments arrive with weeks rather than days behind them, and every comment is then carried into the next stage deliberately. By the last module the final document is a revision of work already approved in pieces, which is a very different task from writing it.

A broken link is paid for twice
Because each stage feeds the one after it, a milestone that arrives late or thin does not simply lose its own marks. It also removes the material the next stage was meant to be built from, so the following submission is weaker for reasons unconnected to the effort put into it, and the final document quietly inherits both faults at once.
The remedy is to keep the chain a few days in front of itself throughout, which turns an unplanned week into a spent cushion rather than a missing link. Patrons who hand over the whole course instead of pieces of it are generally buying that margin, and in a term of eight weeks the margin is the thing worth having.
The rubric is where the marks actually live
A final project rubric distributes its weight unevenly and rarely announces the fact. One criterion may carry a third of the grade while three others share the remainder, and a paper that is charming on the light criteria and thin on the heavy one reads well and scores badly. The distribution is published; it is simply not advertised.
So drafting begins by reading the rubric as an allocation of effort rather than a list of topics, and the heaviest criteria are answered first, at length, in the rubric's own terms. Where a paper needs a further pass, rubric-first editing takes it line by line against the same document the grader will hold.

Send the course and say exactly which module was missed. In an eight-week term the honest answer is sometimes that one course should be let go to save the others.
Do you write the weekly discussions as well?
Yes, and they can be taken without the assignments if that is all you need. Taken alone it is quoted well below a full course, and it is frequently the piece that has been consuming the evenings.
Can one course be handed over rather than the whole term?
Almost everybody does it that way. Most patrons give over the single course threatening the others and keep the rest themselves.
